Round Up for 2007/ 10:52 AM Jan - Still carrying the green 11B but was clearing leave like nobody's business - Start of one of the many 21st birthday parties I've got to attend this year - Bought a new phone N80 internet edition - Signed up and accomplished 1 star kayaking course @ Kallang Sea Sports Club - Ushered in the new year by cycling in NTU with James Feb - Hello Pink IC, long time no see - Quarrelled with my bro over my temp job selection - Savings at critically low level until CNY came to my rescue (woohoo!) Mar - Played my 1st field soccer match since sec sch days - Landed a temp job with Recruit Express where I got to know many lovely souls (like Jacqueline, Hayley, Sharman, Edith, Eve, Sam, Linus, Alan etc.) and most importantly, it got my ass out poverty. - Caught 1 of the last matches at Kallang Stadium. Who could have asked for a spicier match than S'pore vs M'sia. Apr - Went back to Muar for Qing Ming and I still miss the duck rice there - X-rayed my swollen toe and learnt that my toe is either 'deformed' or 'suffered severe trauma'. Almost had a heart attack after learning that. May - I'm 21 =) Jun - Went biking with Jianhong and conquered Bt Timah Hill n Zheng Hua Park. Bruised and dazed, it definitely felt good. Jul - Parted company with folks at Recruit Express. - Kicked off my uni life by attending Freshmen Orientation Camps. (CAC FOC & Hall FOC) Aug - Moved into Hall 10, Block 51. My room is definitely 1 of the best rooms around! - 'Purple-light' buddy Yew Kuan's my roomie but surely he has suffered enough living with me. I had to admit it but he has been a great companion for my 1st sem in NTU. Hope I haven't traumatised him much. - Start of uni lessons Sep - Busy with Uni life - Posted damn gay pics of my roomie on my blog and resulted in much fanfare in hall and amongst his classmates. Haha... Oct - Super busy preparing for exams - Realised that there's no place like home - Did something foolish that I wish I hadn't done Nov - Welcomes Nath Chu into the family and I'm officially promoted to Uncle Marvin (not counting my cousins' side of the family) - Posted to some funny reservist unit that no one has heard before and not all my NS friends are posted there. Dec - Took part in InterHall Games (IHG) for my hall's soccer team. Though we got kicked out, I feel honoured being part of the first team. Played 2 full 90 minutes matches and somewhat, I feel that I have improved in some ways as a player. I wish them all the best in next year's IHG. Perhaps, I might join them if they need me and I'll sign up my name as a squatter. Maybe things didn't go as planned but that's how life is. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed myself in 2007. Maybe when I'm in the mood, I'll note down my resolutions for 2008 even though chances are I might not keep to it in the end. May 2008 be more happening and successful year for one and all.
