Bad Day/ 12:01 AM I had a terrible run of luck today. First, after conducting surveys, I was on my way back to office after lunch. By the time I hopped onto the bus at Yishun, I realised my pants were getting damp. To my horror, I realised it was my water bottle leaking in my bag & considering my bag's water resistant...I saw this puddle of water inside my bag, alongside my laptop, survey forms, mop samples etc. Thank goodness it was only a 5 min ride to my office but this clearly caused a mini frenzy in me. After work, Cheryl & I decided to try a different route to get to Yishun, which was the same bus that was travelling on the opposite direction. Wrong choice. It usually took 5-10min if we hopped on from the usual bus stop but this time, it took 15-20 minutes! To make things worse, I couldn't find my Student EZ-Link pass when I boarded the bus. This caused another frenzy mode as I attempted to search high and low in different compartments of my bag and frisking my own pockets (maybe the other passengers think I'm a 怪伯伯 who likes to touch himself...zzzz) but it ended in futility. My mind was obviously bothered by where could my EZ-Link be as it's 1 of the rare time I decided to take it out of my wallet and of all days, it had to go missing today after what has happened earlier on. I just hope that Cheryl may break to me some good news of finding my EZ-Link on my desk tomorrow morning when she gets to the office. The mini flooding of my bag did not cause major damage except that it might have just drowned my laptop mouse. Now I can't click it and that means I will have to buy a new mouse =(. I'm not a sucker for new things cos I think that even if it's broken, as long as I can use it, I'll make do with it. But now, there's no room for any more make-dos. Oh man, I'm feeling pretty lousy now cos of this bad run. If it nothing's improving, maybe I'll pop by 四马路 to 拜拜 a bit. Better to be safe than sorry. Still, I'm in such a lousy mood now that I'm not in the right frame to talk to anyone. Emo big time zzz |
