Quick Update/ 8:28 PM Celebrated Squadron Day yesterday at CAB. The "Happy Hour" started around 5pm, causing most of us to be quite pissed cos of the time wasted. I mean, if they had started earlier, we would definitely be HAPPY cos start early end early... Thanks to the 'wonderful' administration & planning of this organistion, we literally saw our life waste away for more than 5 hours. Thank goodness our PC let us have a 90minute lunch at cookhouse which was around 10min' walk away & allowed us to pay a visit to the e-mart to purchase items we fancied. The RSAF shirts, shorts, singlets etc tops the priority list as usual. I must thank edwin for letting me leech his e-mart credits cos firstly, I left my 11B in my webbing and next, he has much credits to spare thanks to his Senior Warrant Dad working in the Navy who can help him purchase stuff with his own Navy e-mart credits. Anyway, I bought a pair of RSAF sandals, 2 shorts, 1 singlet which totalled up to nearly $50! Back to the 'Happy Hour': It lasted for say, 1hr+? We had a chance to watch a short video presentation on the GOH's (Guard of Honour) journey to performing in the SAF day & National Day Parade 05'. Perhaps it was the music, I was rather motivated & proud that I am selected for next yr's GOH. However, the irony is that I would be transferring to Tengah Air Base next month or December the latest as PC said we were 'on loan' from them & that we were supposed to have reported there much earlier. I may lose my chance to perform in the GOH which I find it a honorable experience & rare opportunity but, the consolation point would be RSM telling me that Tengah hasn't chose their GOH contingent so I may still yet get into the Tengah GOH! Let's just pray for the best ya? Don't wanna keep my hopes too high this time. Personally, my happy hour started after we were dismissed. Went to watch The 40 year old virgin with Boon, Long, Edwin, Ronghao & Fabien. With all due respect, I really thought that Edwin (aka Mighty Mouse) would be 'summoned' by the cinema staff to show his IC (or in his case, 11B). Hey hey, he was too cute to be over 18! hahaha...At the same time, I got to know that Boonkian's dark side... Apparently he threw twigs or something at the cats during his stint @ northern (where I'm stationed right now) during threatcon charlie. Well, can't be helped. I must say the cats deserve it cos they're really pissing me off! There's 3 of them there and I can't tolerate when they tear up the garbage bags to attain access to the food & make a mess of it, for 2 weeks somemore! Tsk tsk...something has to be done about it. Maybe ban eating at our sleeping area? I couldn't sleep on sunday night thanks to Ignatius who kept bugging me to message girls & I think he abit getting despo cos he wanna know more girls. Oh well, I couldnt really sleep cos the messages came as late as 11+ and I had duty at 1am! Igs would nudge me (when I've fallen alseep) and tell me I got a message(wah lau...thanks...) However, I must thank ignatius who injected a little courage into me. I was quite shy and when the messages were sent, the adrenalin set my heart beating like crazy & I swear I could go run a cross country with all the excitement I had at that time. The experience that night was unforgettable...hopefully there'll be more of such experience in the near future & get a more positive response next time =) |
