soccer/ 3:31 PM Had another game of soccer, by invitation of yiquan and kwok lay. The attendance of our own guys is something we ought to question, with 5 of us who eventually made it to CCAB. It's been almost half a year since I last played there. Even with the dwindling attendance, we managed to mix and join other teams and had a good game of soccer for the next 90 minutes. The sun was kind, without the scorching heat that I had to face on Thursday. I swore I almost fainted with my vision going blurry at canteen 2 and the friggin headache I had to endure all the way until my MarkeTHINK meeting in the evening. Popped 2 panadols and ordered a frosted baileys at TCC = good night's sleep after that. The weather today was much better and I've finally became more tanned after nearly 2 months of self-declared exile from soccer which meant that I had little sunning during the mugging period. What impressed me was that there were 3 gals who played at CCAB today. To be honest, I felt that they were technically decent and could read the game pretty well. Besides the fact that guys may overpower them physically, I think they were the most pro female soccer players I've met thus far. The best thing was that I enjoyed playing with the crowd today. They've proved to be a friendly and warm group of soccer enthusiasts who plays regularly on saturdays at ccab. Their sportsmanship and commitment really impressed me and got me thinking about my own soccer buddies. The fun, sweat and knowing new people - All in the name of sports =) |
