The night that I emo-ed/ 1:28 AM How will life be 60 years' from now? Just read a news on Britain's Iron Lady, former premier Thatcher. She's 83 this year, suffering from dementia and she struggles to remember the simplest of things. And she will find it increasingly difficult as the days go by. She forgot her husband of more than 50 years, had passed away in 2003 and everytime, she had to be reminded by their daughter that he is gone. This news struck a chord with me somehow. I shan't say what. But definitely, it reminds me of the very purpose of starting this blog. To pen down my memories, in case one fine day, I'm gone or if my mind turns rusty. At least, this blog is a living proof of my humble existence in this world. It's weird. I said I wouldn't emo but I just can't help it but feel a little tinge of loneliness tonight. It could be my iTunes that's blasting a series of emo songs @ random. You know, when u are suay, even iTunes is picking on me. I get over this kind of negativities pretty easily cos I'm always surrounded with a great bunch of friends. Yet, as the sun sets and dust settles, who's there at the very end? Right now, I don't think I see anyone. So, this boils down to the next quote I've put up since the beginning of this blog: "Will You Walk With Me Till The End?" First, attraction. Then, communication. With these two aside, what that quote represents is perhaps the final criteria. It is commitment, dedication. Something really simple yet understandably difficult to maintain with all the temptations present. Till that day arrives, I'll be walking alone until someone else decides to join me in this journey. If no one comes, then, it's journey to the west for me and 阿弥陀佛...monkhood here I come. Zzzz |
