An update amidst my busy schedule/ 2:36 AM -Referring to Jieying's blogpost on the near-death experience in my car- It doesn't help when my (lack of) navigation skills & under-understanding of how my car's GPS works resulted in me taking a longer route trying to get out of Orchard Road. It is desperately confusing with the turns and winding roads. Unsurprisingly, I was caught off guard when I turned right and realised that I will enter the lanes facing the opposite direction. I swerved left and went back into the correct lane just to have a bloody taxi uncle who happily turned and tried to cut right without even checking that I was on his right side. Our cars nearly collided and both of us swerved again in the opposite direction to get out of potential harm's way. I was too stunned that my heart raced for quite a while. Thank goodness, Jieying and I are still alive! We are 2 non-insured people in the car and if anything happened, it aint worth it at all (since there wun be insurance payout! $_$) |
