Drew no.1 uniform today =)/ 6:50 PM It's been a rather rough week. Firstly, I was informed that I would be staying at Changi Air Base instead of transferring to Tengah Air Base. The GOOD thing means I do not need to re-familiarise with the new environment & I get to keep my place in the Guard of Honour (GOH) contingent; the Bad would mean that more of my monthly ns allowance would be sucked by the various transport companies (anyone can intro me part time job? it'll help a lot $_$) Had our 1st GOH training for the upcoming Change of Command (COC) parade next month. I must say that the seniors aka lao jiaos were quite solid in their drills despite their usual slackness during normal times. I guess that's the result after 2 years of various parades and countless training sessions under their belt. This was supposed to be their last session and our RSM (the guy who looks like the Pringles moustache face) got them to train us 1 on 1. They were pretty good in teaching us and correcting our mistakes and we have all benefitted immensely despite their short session with them. I wish those who're going to ORD all the best. After the training, I realised that my drill really sucked and I have to practice real hard if I want to cement my place in the contingent & shine during the parades. Hmmz, maybe before the next session I'll have to do some warm ups cos I pulled my hamstring -_-" yaya...don't laugh..I can't believe I managed to pull a hamstring during drills either... Bad news, my shift's PC going to be posted out to Sembawang Air Base with effect frm next week. He's pretty good even though he may appear to be quiet most of the time. The worse part is that PC daniel is taking over. Ermz, apparently his reputation is not-so-good amongst the lao jiaos. Well, can't be helped. I guess we just need to lan lan suck thumb and tahan his weirdness for the next 2-3 months before a new PC comes to CAB. Wasted a lot of time today after dismount cos need to clean rifle and went to try on our no.1 uniform today. The no.1 uniform is meant for the COC parade that's coming up next month and after that, practice for NDP. I heard for NDP we'll have a custom made one that'll fit each of us individually. *sigh* seems like there's pretty much things in my mind nowadays. can't help but think about the past and ponder what lies ahead in my future. If I know...If U only knew... |
