In Memory of Mrs Nair/ 12:13 AM

She was a teacher who taught me in Geography in lower secondary. I vividly remember on her very first lesson with my class, she came in but didn't teach us anything related to Geog. Instead, she made the whole class repeat after her the correct pronounciation of the subject that she's gonna teach, and the subject which I thought I'll probably dread (but I began to like eventually).

"It's Gee-orh-gra-phy...not Jio-graph-y"

I don't think I stood out in her class. It was obvious Geography wasn't my forte back then as I struggled with remembering the names and positions of various mountains, active vocalnoes and the pacific ring of fire etc. Still, she became part of the force that pushed me even closer towards my passion for Humanities, be it History, Geography, Social Studies or Economics.

She'd engage the class in her own little ways, like talking to Mike about Rainbow Six, a game that her son's playing. That's a common ground that allows us to listen more intently in her class - towards the game of cos. A motherly figure to a bunch of young monkeys no doubt.

Now, I feel guilty that I was part of the group who made fun of her during our trip to China in sec 2. That joke will never come up again, I promise.

The person I'm referring to is Mrs Nair, who passed away in early January due to cancer, I heard. I hope her family will find, if not found, peace with her departure. I hope Mrs Nair gets to a better place, a place where her spirit continues to live on, inspire the people around her and continues to watch over all of us. As her student, I've grown from her teaching. Her legacy will continue to live on in the lives of all her students, whose lives she has touched.

Mrs Nair, thank you so much for teaching me Gee-orh-gra-phy. Rest in peace.

the tagboard must be in this format, otherwise will be deemed unusable and ugly, out of place. It must be in a width of maximum 230px; which cannot be any smaller as well.

It has to be a total height of 200px as well, otherwise it will stretch and become ugly. and you can look at the screenshot for reference of how it will look like when it's perfect.
