MIA no more/ 11:15 PM Forgive my long absence from my blog. Well, this isn't my 1st time MIA-ing from the blogging scene so what the heck... Managed to sneak back to Malaysia for 3 days at the end of last month. It was a nice break away from the mundane,lame,frustrating (& wadeva crap terms you can think of) life serving 'National Service'. During the 3 days, I somewhat helped my dad with his work at the plantations. Ok, it wasn't pleasant but I enjoyed it cos I spent quality time with Dad. I braved through sinking mud, flesh-devouring red ants & blood sucking mosquitoes. Cuts, blisters and bites are inevitable. And I kept my cool..cos I'm in the NS...must be MAN lah! Imagine the embarassment it'd cause seeing me scream infront of my dad...my dad would be so 'impressed' with NS. Hmmz...or maybe I should... I think my driving improved quite a bit too. With a little coaching from my dad, I drove with ease. Hopefully I'll ace my driving lessons and save some money. Hmmz, at the same time, my tolerance to external disturbance has gone up. My dad's constant nagging while I was behind the wheel...I just kept nodding my head, agreeing with him & having absolutely no idea whatsover he just said...Haha... Currently I'll be quite busy with some things happening in camp, namely the Change of Command (COC) parade & Exercise East Hawk. The former will be performing in a ceremony when our new base commander takes over & the latter will be seeing me performing extra vigilantly to look out for threats. I heard the commandos will be infiltrating our camp at this time. Good performance for this exercise means more offs! wish me luck! |
