I'm in pain./ 4:24 PM

Read in newspaper reports that a few of our NSFs were involved in an air crash over in Taiwan. Condolences to their families and I wish time will heal the grief they're feeling now. To the 2 who are injured, I wish them a speedy recovery and be reunited with their loved ones.

Obviously, it was a freak accident. The 2 guys were died were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when the plane came crashing down to earth. My only hope was that they moved on to the other world through an instant death. I've just gotten my pink IC merely 3 months back. As soldiers of this land, I have no doubt that most guys will feel the grief for the 2 who died while on an overseas exercise. No one expected this to happen. Whenever my friends told me that they'd be going overseas, being ROC, Australia, Thailand, Brunei or India etc, I'd just pass a remark saying "Slacker, so shiok ah? Free holiday trip by the SAF?"

Down inside, I was obviously envious of the opportunity going overseas, going through exercises with our foreign counterparts in a different culture & setting. There are dangers involved. I was glad I was out in 1 piece. I was influenced greatly by a remark from 1 of the senior instructors back in the army days. Our body are given to us by our parents. We should take better care of it. No point over-chionging. Afterall, it's just 1 chance. Miss it big deal. Damage your body & you'll suffer for the rest of your life. How true..

Playing field soccer in 2 days should not have been a problem for me. I've maintained my fitness pretty well to date and I was confident I was able to last throughout 90minutes for both matches. Yet, it wasn't a smart move on my part to participate in both games when I'm dogged by my shin injury. Can't jump cos the landing hurts. Can't go in for the tackles cos I fear the opponent may hit me in my injured part. My mobility is down and reaction time goes up. In short, my performance has been compromised.

Weird thing is that I'm injured juz below the main part of my shin & above my foot. Yet, the blood clot appears below my ankle. Some say there might be ruptured blood vessels after I was on the receiving end from the great impact last week. Today's match was a little bloody as well but not for me. 1 of our opponents got a gash on his head after going in for a challenge with Eugene. Ryan missed today's game too cos of probs with his cornea.

And therefore I conclude: We are getting old and more prone to injuries. No more NSF medical benefits (free polyclinic sessions etc) so we ought to take better care of our bodies!

Sometimes I wonder. Which is worse? Failure after taking action or taking no action at all.

the tagboard must be in this format, otherwise will be deemed unusable and ugly, out of place. It must be in a width of maximum 230px; which cannot be any smaller as well.

It has to be a total height of 200px as well, otherwise it will stretch and become ugly. and you can look at the screenshot for reference of how it will look like when it's perfect.
