Dazed, bruised, fun/ 10:29 PM Finally decided on getting my butt out of my room for some workout today. Waited patiently for 30min to get my front bike tyre changed before embarking on a bike trip with Jianhong. Chionged Zheng Hua Park 1st before conquering Bt Timah Hill. I had a tough time getting my 2 wheels up the slopes. But I played with the gears and managed to get up there eventually. It's tricky yet exciting manoveuring along those stone-filled down slopes. I don't want to end up like the deejay who broke 4 of his front teeth. I don't haf the money for plastic surgery neither do I want to wear dentures at such a young age. Managed to see a dead deer in Zheng Hua park. I knew we were near Mandai Zoo...but that near? Initially, Jianhong who rode infront thought it was a wild boar. He shouted "Wild Boar!" then I caught a glimpse of it on my right side. The flies swarming around the carcass made me panic a while cos I thought the "wild boar" was charging out...But Jianhong was more gay cos he almost skidded as he turned back to see the "wild boar". He thought he was lucky. But that's what he thinks... Ultimately, Jianhong couldn't escape from his eventual fate. We were like 1km away from Bt Timah Visitor Centre. The down hill was full of stones. I was behind him when that joker suddenly lost control. His back wheel was in the air and before I could even react, he was lying on the floor moaning in pain. His 'bro' got hurt too. For more updates on his bro's injury, u hafta ask him directly. Simply too gross to add in my blog. After leaving Bt Timah hill, we have already cycled like 3hours+ non-stop. My legs couldn't stop cramping while on the way out. It was so bad that both my thighs cramps when I braked hard. So pain that I didn't know I should laugh at my own predicament or moan in pain. I knew I wasn't in the shape to make a sound judgement. As we were travelling to Bt Batok to have some quick bites, I thought I could pull my front wheel up to get over a curb. I pulled but somehow, there was sufficient height from my front wheel. So in the end, my wheel hit the curb, I flew forward, much to the delight of Jianhong who was laughing uncontrollably behind. I'm like dazed and worn out right now. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to the next cycling session. |
