101st post/ 2:02 PM
Yaya, this isn't the so called spectacular post that I've promised. Just some gimmick to make my blog feels more 'alive'. It doesn't help when I'm so wasting time doing unproductive stuffs in school when I should have been studying, working out or even updating my miserable blog.
Life's more or less settled in NTU. I just need a little bit of drive and determination. Sure, I had fun, in fact, lots of fun with the new found friends in hall. However, the failure to prioritise my needs and the time I have for the other activities will definitely come back to haunt me dearly in the foreseeable future.
From hindsight, I was lucky to have changed my mind of staying in hall in Sem 2. Apparently, priority to stay in hall for freshies only applies to those who apply in Sem 1. Though my hall's situated in a secluded top right corner of NTU and worse still, it's built on top of a hill, the serenity and warm people have made my stay there more than a pleasant one. Block 51 freshies and seniors are all fun to hang around & they too offer good advice when I'm in need for guidance in both academic n non-academic areas.
The stress level in Uni is definitely higher as I have my 1st taste of almost-real independence and I have to be constantly aware that I will bear the consequences later for the actions I take now. Expectations from within and people around me, for me to perform are high. Sometimes I ponder if I'm indeed paranoid and setting unrealistic goals for myself.
That aside, fortunately there are many outlets to vent the stress that's built up over the days. Be it sweating out in a good game of badminton or soccer; enjoying the cool night breeze during the evening jogs while sorting out my thoughts; even a good hang out session with my friends in hall are all just as enjoyable.
It's just so bloody competitive studying in NTU Business but I guess that same sentiment applies across to all other faculties especially since this year the Dragon babes are giving the Tiger guys a run for their money. Though it's like 2months into the studying term, I've already seen how cold & ruthless people can be when it's about competing for better results. We'll just see about that...
In any ways, there are always additional outlets for me to seek fun, though that might be at the expense of others....HAHA...Damn...I'll just have to find more karma-boosting activities to balance those sinful acts I've committed. I just pity my roomie and neighbour whose pictures I've took and spread indiscriminatedly over the net...lolx
Disclaimer: Warning! The pics are disgusting and may be uncomfortable to the viewer. The pictures below are meant for self-amusement purposes only. If you know the guys in the pics, just go all out ahead and make fun of them when you see them.
Junwen doing his business Yewkuan - the hall Drag Queen Damn, he's good at posing After a stressful day, I'd decided to stun my roomie's clothes And take a pic of him when he was least aware. And I have finally destressed myself...
