I'm Unemployed.../ 11:22 PM I'm into my first day of joining the ranks of the unemployed. I'm partly relieved that I can finally take a break yet again, I've lost some purpose in life and I've got no idea till this moment what lies ahead, at least for next week. My departure was a hush hush affair. I didn't inform many of my colleagues of other divisions that I'm leaving. On top of that, I've been doing mostly admin duties for the past week, so I eventually died a natural death cos I didn't make as many calls or filling orders. Thankfully, my time over at RE hasnt been wasted as I've seen, heard and learnt many things that may be useful for me in the future. On top of that, I got to know some wonderful people there. My mentor and team leader were like sisters to me. I didnt spare my 2 'sisters' of my jabs and jokes..of cos I kept it within limits and ensured it was entertaining, not insulting. I was their target too many a times, of cos I know, it was all for spicing things up and making office life more interesting. As of now, I'm thinking hard what the hell I'm going to do from Monday onwards. Looking at the state of my room, I know I'll be spending some time clearing things again. I've set some target I wanna achieve before school starts - learn to cook some dishes from my grandma; do some reading; maintain my fitness thru sports and gym; do some charity or volunteer work. It's good to hear from some people whom you've not met up in recent times. The simple updates, knowing that they're doing fine in their lives is sufficient. At least when they're gone again, they're not forgotten. A simple message yesterday made my day. As of now, I don't dare to hope for much. Maybe it's best to start of as friends first... |
