2 birthday celebrations, 1 soccer match/ 8:40 PM The weekend's come n gone in a flash again. Had a great time yesterday. Played my 2nd field match and my 1st time organising it. Yeah, there were some hiccups here n there but I'll learn. I had an amazing time playing field soccer. The tempo, the pace, the gameplay etc...totally different from street soccer. Well, I couldn't really control my stamina well so I had to sub out for a short break in each half. We won 4-3 in the end. I guess it's a pretty fair result cos it's the 1st time my team is playing together and there was a need for more passing instead of solo play. That aspect will improve in a matter of time as we gel together and understand each other's gameplay better. Seriously if given a choice, I rather play midfield than play defender. Had a chance to get on the scoresheet in the 1st half but I blew it with a shot blasted just slightly over the bar. Haha..but I still believe my time will come. I think it was around 2 minutes before the ref blew the final whistle that 1 joker came and attempt to head the ball with me around. I guess he truly didn't know I was behind him and had no knowledge that his big fat head came into contact with my mouth, busting my lower lip in the process. I was like "wtf..." den carry on play before I saw the blood in my mouth and hand. Now I just pray that I'll recover fast enough to function properly at work. Had a lunch treat from my buddy who is officially 21 years of age. The food at Cafe Cartel @ Imm were pretty good and the service was definitely much better than that I had at Manhattan last nite though food wise, I would say Manhattan was at a higher notch. Went to Minds wif Ms Wanjing the birthday gal, xinying, xianying, piggy peisan and chiew yan. I had a great time teasing piggy but she was as usual, sporting enough to play along and suffer my taunts. This is what friends should be like. |
