Happy Holidays/ 10:59 AM For the past 2-3 weeks, it has been a more meaningful and event-filled holiday compared to the ones I had in past years. At 22, I've been attending more and more gatherings - from pri sch classmates to Uni Yr 1 Sem 1 tut mates. Some of my friends are leaving for exchange programmes the coming semester, so this is the time to for us to meet up and wish them a safe,enjoyable and fruitful trip overseas. I'm glad that I signed up for ISG Soccer where I got to play with perhaps one of the better teams around. It's a pity that we didn't qualify with the quality of players around. It was the team who seized the opportunities that eventually qualified - they were the better team and they deserved to qualify. I do hope this batch of year ones will still sign up for ISG Soccer next year. It's truly enjoyable to play with them. I'm surprised with my own determination to continue my workout spree that started before ISG. Running, hitting the gym, badminton, soccer, squash got my adrenaline pump like mad, muscles sore like mad. Hopefully, I'll see some decent results in a month or two - assuming that I continue this crazy regime when school reopens. It's a great joy to welcome my Aunt Christine from Australia who came back for a month's stay. Many years back, I called her "Mum" just to irritate my cousin by mimicking his aussie ascent but since then, I've been calling her that. She's like my 2nd best friend in my life. Seriously. I've suffered her taunts, jibes and bites (really, she bites!) but I know she does all that, in the name of fun. So I get to spend some time with this fiesty, crazy yet funny aunt from down under (not hell...australia!) and she's teaching me to cook! Minus the financial boo-boos, this truly is a great holiday =) Happy holidays everyone! |
