I'm broke, 2 days after pay day!/ 7:42 PM
I've finally decided to update my blog after months of absence. Well, this shouldn't be a surprise since it's been known my lack of determination to blog. Anyway, most of my time was spent lazing infront of my com, dota-ing or naruto-ing my life away.
I should be damned for failing to realise my training regime. Weight gain, tremendous weight gain, weaker body have hit me real hard. I've decided to quit Changi V for real this time. It would be a torture, as I found out the previous mount, it was! For 2 days I had to suck thumb and eat sometimes (or rather, many a times) SFI meals that sucked. Hey, the army provides us meals and we ought to be grateful for that, especially since it's now provided by professional caterers. However, with Changi Village within walking distance, who gives a damn? It's especially tempting since I'm guarding at the main gate, just 100m away from 'food haven'. For my own good, I guess it's time to kiss changi v goodbye. I guess I'll make this an endurance test to see how long I can survive without succumbing to that temptation.
Had 2 dinners organised by the squadron over the 2 months. First was the CNY dinner that was ironically organised after the CNY (the 1st 15 days of the 1st lunar month i think). Next up was the squadron anniversary dinner @ Hooters last tuesday. Hooters ain't that bad. It was at Clarke Quay, babes wearing rather ermz, little, not-so-bad food. It's a place for us to have fun but it will never be a place for me to bring my date, unless of course I have a death wish or break up date.
Today I spent almost the entire day at the IT show with, over at the Suntec. I met up with Tengkee (my sgt) and Wenlong, had a drink at Coffeebeans before meeting up with Weiwen & his bro. I also manage to meet up with a couple of my jc frens shuting (who's working @ the creative booth) and charlotte. I must admit defeat when it comes to shopping. After going out for just 7 hours, I'm really tired and suffering from sore legs and a sore back. Hey, I'm weak, as compared to girls...they can really shop. Seeing some of my female friends, they appear to have great stamina and endurance when it comes to shopping. Sheesh..and I wonder of what use those IPPT training are for?!
I've set out to acquire a zen neeon after days of research and consideration. It's 2gb of flash memory, priced at $339. It beats the iPod nano flat in terms of functions. Considering its in-built fm receiver, free speakers, it seems to be an excellent deal. I went to the IT show full of vigour and anticipation as I cant wait to lay my hands on the zen neeon. I was destined to get my zen neeon...or so it seemed...Who the hell would've realised that all the flash-memory zen neeon were sold out when we finally reached the creative booth. This dealt a major blow to my spirits and I was having an excruciating heartache upon hearing the news. I thought the zen neeon was popular too but I didn't realise it was THAT popular for it to be sold out at the IT show. Creative should've shipped in more units unless of course, they're sick of generating more sales. -.-"
Nevertheless, we walked around abit more and at the end of the day,I chose the iPod nano 2gb instead. It ain't bad afterall considering the ergonomics but I guess I'll feel insecure cos it's really THAT small and THAT light. Hey, I better begin liking it cos I've spent more than $400 not to hate it rite? Hmmz, I think I must be the 1 and only guy who isn't all too excited of my purchase especially after sinking my month's allowance on it...wth -_-"
