The 'Curse' Of The Xin Jiaos?/ 10:48 AM

Just 3 days back, I was so full of energy when I played soccer with the usual people. I feel that my form wasn't too bad, considering the runs, tackles, blocks I made, & with a freaking wonder goal to top it off. Thanks to some good luck and eugene's poor keeping form that day, I scored the winning goal just under 10sec since the last team left the court. I saw a gap on the right of the human wall, hence I seized the opportunity and curled the ball in before Eugene could even react. That stunt the keeper and the previous team who had juz lost couldn't believe their ears when we shouted "next team!". I can definitely benefit for more match practice looking at the scoring opportunities I wasted, squandering all the nice passes my team mates provided. My celebration was cut short by a stupid mistake I made, leading to an 'own goal'. James' younger bro, Felix, made a 'in-the-air-Taibi' mistake by allowing a backpass from me to slip through his hands. Haha...anyway, it was time for us to take a break cos we simply dominated the court for most of the time.

I'm currently on 2 days MC. The move by the usually stingy MO caught me by surprise as I had expected 1 day MC at most. However, it's true that I'm in a pretty bad shape at the moment. Sore throat, cough, flu, blocked nose, fever, headache, feeling dizzy. I haven't had a good night's rest for the past 2 days as my throat was so sore that I couldn't even swallow my saliva.

If I were to look back, maybe I'm cursed by the new Sembawang batch that just joined us a few days back. Just 4 mths ago when the Paya Lebar batch joined us, I fell ill as well. Maybe when the changi batch comes, it's time for another att c? Damn..I hope to get well soon enough cos my aunt's coming back to S'pore in a few days time & there's sunday soccer this weekend. Hopefully, I'll play a better game this time.
